I began this painting outside incorporating the shadows of fall leaves and limbs for composition..
This allowed me to design an abstract pattern to represent the radiant spectacle of fall light and color .
It was started a few days before Helene and I spent the the next several weeks during October and November completing. Taking walks in the woods gathering ideas and inspiration.
When the hurricane came through Nature sent a message of our intimate connection and relation to extreme weather cycles and the interdependence we all share.
