Artist Statement:
The inspiration for this painting came from a place inside me that asks the hard questions, like what lack of respect and non-inclusion in the workplace due to discrimination, bias, and hate can do to a person’s dignity. This is not a “Kumbaya” moment but a real wake up call to the world that everyone is vital and everyone deserves respect no matter their life choices. And we can start by getting rid of labels.
